James Bruce Owens

James Bruce Owns, 65, formerly of Salineville died Saturday January 27, 2024 at the Canterbury Villa in Alliance OH where he had been a resident for the last several years.

James was born on May 7, 1958 a son of the late Clyde Owens and Vivian (Harker) Owens. Having lived his life in the area James had been employed for a number of years at Bach Lumber and was a veteran of the United States Army.

James is survived by a son: Thomas Owens (Margaret) of Fountain FL; two daughters: Amber Owens of Fountain FL, Dawn Coker (Richey) of Fountain FL; Step Children: Becky Blaire of FL, Annette Blair of Fountain FL, James Blair of GA; a sister Tamara Owens of Salineville; a brother: Ernest Owens (Sherry) of Salineville; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grand daughter and many nieces and nephews as well as a niece: Zyna Simpson (David) of Salineville who cared for him in his final years.

In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by a daughter: Heather Marie Owens; a sister: Robin Echols; Roy Owens and a grandson.

As per James wishes no calling hours or service has been planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer months. He will be laid to rest with his daughter in Florida at a later date. 

The Kerr Watson Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
