Thomas Eugene Hays died peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at the Hospice House in Poland OH.
Tom was born in East Liverpool on February 13, 1948 a son of the late Ralph Hays and Elinor (Philler) Hays. having lived his life in the area Tom was a graduate of Southern Local High School Class of 1966, obtained an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kent State University, was a veteran of the United states Marine Corp serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, was a member of Bethal United Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge #348 and the Salineville American Legion. Tom also loved woodworking and making furniture. Tom also loved going to car shows and owned a corvette
Tom is survived by his wife Deborah (Kerr) Hays whom he married June 13, 1970; a brother: Gary Hays of Mansfield TX; a sister Lynette Wolski of Florida; three nieces; a nephew; Dennis Thompson whom he loved like a son and the two loves of his life: Kingston Baez and Baen Bloor- his two little buddies.
In addition to his parents Tom was preceded in death by a brother: Brian Hays.
Funeral Services will be held at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home in Salineville on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at 1pm with Fred may officiating.
The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 12-1pm.
