William Richard Deeley

William Richard Deeley, 87,of Salineville died at Salem Regional Medical Center on August  22,2022 following a lengthy illness.

Bill was born on April 19, 1935 in Akron OH a son of the late Edward Deeley and Margarel (Berl) Deeley. 

Having lived most of his life in the area Bill was a potter by trade, working for Sterling China for 40 years. He loved the outdoors and spent his time camping, hunting and fishing. Bill also loved to take his 84 Chevy pick-up truck to car shows. He also had attended Riley Church. 

Bill is survived by his wife: Lorna (Close) Deeley whom he married June 16, 1956; a daughter: Cindy (Steve) Bilsland of Salineville; a son: Craig Deeley of Salineville; a Grandson: Richard Deeley of Salineville;three grandchildren: Alyssa Deeley of Salineville, McKenzie Deeley of Canton and Colt Deeley of Salineville; five nieces: Jeannie Wilson of Negley, Barbie Anderson of Alliance, Becky Close of Lisbon Robin Woodward of Lisbon and Wendy Woodward of Lisbon and three nephews: Jeff Hall of Lisbon, Kenny Hall of Lisbon and Jerry Woodward of Highlandtown.

In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by a brother: Harold “Cookie” Deeley and two Sisters: JoAnn Woodward and Bev Hall

A funeral service will be held Monday August 29, 2022 at 2 at the Kerr Watson Funeral Home in Salineville with Pastor Linda Baker of the church officiating 

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 12pm up until the time of service at 2pm.
